*   The St. Luke's Quilting Ladies have blessed the Wood County Red Cross with beautiful quilts to give to victims that have had a home fire. Their time and talent is greatly appreciated by those who have lost everything.  It is the beginning of rebuilding their lives and something for them to hold onto in the days ahead.  Thank you ladies at St. Luke's, your loving hands lift the hearts of those that are in need.

*   Culver's Day of Giving 2008 launched March is Red Cross Month.  Red Cross volunteers and staff spent the day with owners, managers, and employees of Culver's of Marshfield and Culver's of Wisconsin Rapids. Duties included, greeting customers delivering "drive thru" meals and answering questions about the Red Cross.  The partnership with Culver's not only brought together 2 groups who work toward making the communities across Wood County safer and prepared, but also to treat those people who give blood by offering an exchange of GIVE A PINT - GET A PINT at the Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids blood drives.  Thank you Culver's for your support of the Wood County Chapter!

*   Thank you to Wisconsin Rapids Sunrise Rotary for the $1,648 grant to purchase new equipment for our CPR/AED/First Aid courses.  Training 3,500+ participants each year in lifesaving skills helps our community know what to do when the time comes.

*   In November 2007 the Community Foundation of Greater South Wood County awarded a grant to the Wood County Red Cross in the amount of $818.94 to purchase a Color LaserJet Printer.  This enables us to print not only the day to day documents but also informational brochures, fundraising pieces and insert slips for our mailings.  Thank you Community Foundation of South Wood County for your support of the Red Cross in this very important way.
